DEATH OF MRS. WILLIAM SUHR

The sudden death of Mrs. William Suhr, at her home on Milan street, this morning about 6 o'clock, came as a shock and great surprise not only to the immediate neighbors but to the entire community, who knew her so well and had learned to love her for her many excellent qualities of both mind and heart. For nearly fifty years she had been a resident of Norwalk and was well known by most of our people.
Mary Magdalane Casbaugh was born in Pennsylvania, September 19, 1832. When an infant, her parents moved to Zanesville, where she lived for a number of years. She then moved to Cleveland. June 29, 1853, she was married to William Suhr. In 1854 the two moved to Norwalk, where they have resided ever since. Mr. Suhr was in the clothing business up to 1898, when he retired.
To Mr. And Mrs. Suhr six children were born, five of whom are still living: George W., William A. and Judge Charles Suhr, of this city; Mrs. Mary Sinz, of Oakland, Cal., and Mrs. Laura E. Knapp, of Cleveland. The husband and father together with the above children, are left to mourn the loss of one who was all love and devotion to them. Her sudden death, from her usual good health, and her passing away so quickly without any warning, came with the dreadful force to the bereaved ones, and it is hard to realize that the kind and loving wife and mother has passed out of the home, where her bright and cheerful presence has been felt for good for so many years.

Funeral Notice

The funeral of Mrs. William Suhr, who died Saturday, will be held from her late home, 53 Milan street, Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, awaiting the arrival of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Sinz, of Oakland, Cal.
