Will TIMBS Passes Away

Died in Cleveland Hospital After Operation  

On November 24, 1916, at St. John's hospital, Cleveland, during appendectomy, William TIMBS died, aged 66 years, 7 months and 20 days.

        William TIMBS, son of John TIMBS and Mary WEBB, was born in Ashton, Northamptonshire, England, April 4, 1850. He immigrated to America, arriving in New York on April 4, 1872,[3]. He came with friends to New London, Ohio, and soon afterward found his way to Wakeman, Ohio. He was married on April 5, 1874, to Olive REA, and soon afterward they went to live upon the farm which was their home until 1899.

   After two years residence in Hobart, Oklahoma, the family removed to Norwalk, Ohio, in 1901, where Mr. TIMBS has since resided.

Mr. TIMBS is survived by his four children and by six sisters, three of whom are still in England, and three in Wakeman.

Mr. TIMBS will be remembered by all who knew him for his untiring energy and faithfulness in all his work and for his friendliness and generous hospitality. And those whose privilege it was to minister to him  in the last months of suffering bear witness to his constant thought for others and the brave and unflinching manner in which he faced the ordeal which he knew must probably result in his death.

 Funeral services in charge of the Rev. William SMITH, of Ashland, Ohio (formerly of Wakeman), were conducted at the home in Norwalk on Tuesday, Nov. 28th, and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Wakeman.
